Fostering self-regulated learning in an online writing course: Challenges and solutions

In this day and age, self-regulated learning (SRL), as a predictor of students’ academic success, has been dedicatedly fostered through online classrooms since virtual situationally dominated in the wake global pandemic. Given prominence implementing instructional practices to foster SRL possible challenges that emerged during its adaptation platforms, study aims shed light on hindrance promoting writing classes at Van Lang University. With participation 35 experienced EFL teachers University, quantitative data was collected from questionnaire, qualitative one semi-structured interview. Quantitative results showed developing critical learner, community, self–peer evaluation presented most teachers. addition, practical suggestions gained findings were useful for those aspiring lay groundwork an class. essence, could offer chance instill learners with right touch appropriate practices.
